  • What type of community is The Alhambra?
    The Alhambra is a non-profit, continuing care retirement community designed for active seniors age 60 and over. It is fully licensed by the California Department of Social Services and accredited by the national Continuing Care Accreditation Commission, which means that the program and staff have passed rigorous standards of excellence.
  • Is your contract a month-to-month agreement or do you require an entrance fee?
    The Alhambra offers month-to-month agreements with no large upfront entrance fee.
  • Do you have assisted living and skilled nursing?
    Yes, The Alhambra offers independent living, assisted living, memory support/Alzheimer’s services and a skilled nursing center.
  • How many meals do you serve?
    We serve three meals per day.
  • Do you have an emergency response system?
    Yes, every accommodation at The Alhambra is equipped with an emergency call button that sends a message to our clinic and to a pager carried by a caregiver.
  • Can I have visitors?
    Yes, visitors are welcome at The Alhambra. We even have guest rooms to accommodate overnight visits.
  • Can I have guests for meals?
    Yes, you are welcome to have guests for meals.
  • Do you provide transportation?
    Yes, we provide scheduled transportation within a five-mile radius of our community. We also have weekly shopping trips and regular outings.
  • Can I bring my own car?
    Yes, we will be happy to give you a personal parking space.
  • Can I bring my pet?
    Yes, pets are welcome. We do have size limitations which we can explain to you when you visit.
