Meet New Friends
Many residents at The Alhambra share a special bond. For some, it’s shared experience from another time in their lives. For others, it’s a brand new camaraderie that blossoms into a tight friendship that lasts a lifetime.
Take sisters Barbara Miller and Phyllis Reed and their ‘adopted’ sister, Audrey Day. These wonderful ladies came to The Alhambra from Dinuba, CA. Barbara and Phyllis share a cottage and Audrey lives in her own cottage across campus. Barbara, Phyllis and Audrey are practically inseparable … and so are their dogs! Audrey’s little dog Tiny likes to hang out with his ‘cousins,’ Barbara and Phyllis’ two Chihuahuas. All six are continuing a lifelong friendship by living at The Alhambra.
Bee Grusky and Elaine Pfeiffer may not have a lifetime of friendship together, but you’d never know it from talking to them. New Yorkers by birth, both women moved to The Alhambra in the same year. Bee and Elaine first connected playing Mah Jong together and through this one activity the two have formed a fast and wonderful friendship.
At The Alhambra, friendship is core value that everyone shares. |
